My grandmother fell and is in the hospital right now. Visiting at the moment. Not critical, well no more then anything is at her age.

It was once a random place for me to post random things while I wondered if I will ever get hythia.com back up and online. Now it is obsolete as hythia.com is running again.

My paternal grandmother fell and broke her hip, so it sounds as if yours is in a bit better shape.
I hope that she get's out of the Hospital soon.

Yeah. She broke her hip, but that is all she broke. She goes in for surgery later today, should take all of fifteen minutes apparently.
But then she has to be off of her feet since it won't be able to bear any weight for six weeks and she is as self-reliant, if not more so, then I am so no idea how that'll work out.
Just not fun to see her like that. She is one of the few relatives of mine that I wouldn't sell to a butcher for .97c a pound as raw hamburger and feel that I made the world better by doing it.
Plus, I think her age and senility are catching up to her suddenly. In the past she'd just been faking it, which was funny as hell to see as she'd mumble and wonder who people were, and then the moment they were out of sight lean over and whisper rude comments to me about them and ask me to fetch her a beer. Hoping it was just the pain meds they had her on.
