Sense of time

I have a really crummy sense of time.

It just does not feel like December to me. I am fully aware it is winter (Holy hannah it is cold out!) but it doesn't feel like it should be December. I keep thinking that these people just up the road had Christmas trees for sale just a few weeks ago, and then when I go out for a walk I see them setting up scaffolding and putting trees out on display for sale for the first time this holiday season and I realize that it was a year ago, not a few weeks ago.

Taking my first real trip in a couple of years in five weeks. That number kind of perplexes me to. Five weeks seems like a short time. Thirty-five days sounds like a long time. Next year sounds like a long time. January seems a long ways away ( probably because I refuse to admit it is December ). But five weeks sounds like a really short time.

It is strange. It is like all my memories of the last couple winters are very close or recent, but summer seems like it was months ago now.

Ditto. Plus, I need someone else to help me offset the "I'm a complete stranger here myself" vibes.

Oddly enough a lot of people who know me tell me that the more time they spend around me the stranger I get...

But I think that is an entirely different use of the word 'stranger' then what we are talking about here...
