Gyarggh...

As if I needed anything else on my mind right now...

Between friends (little is more important to me then my friends...), gaming (why did I agree to be an officer in the SG again...), work (why yes, I do have time for that project, if I give up eating and sleeping...), family obligations (damned holidays...), and my personal projects (writing, drawing, like to complete one of these someday...) I already have some points during the day where my brain just fuzzes out and I am left staring at the ceiling and drooling.

Guess what, I have jury duty now too! On the day I get back from Denver I have to report for orientation. As it is I am having to wheedle and whine to the jury coordinator to get me listed for the last orientation session of the day, and I have already been told that no one on this jury is going to be able to get out of it, by order of the presiding judge, unless they qualify for one of the exemptions ( which I don't since I am a US citizen, citizen of this county, I've never served a jury duty before, and I am not over 70 years of age ).

So if I disappear suddenly for 4-6 weeks right after I get back from Denver it will be because I am either on jury duty or serving time for being in contempt of court.

Heh...I get that SG Officer feeling everytime I get bombarded for interviews.

Hopefully it wasn't anything too horrible.

Ah, I had the joy of jury duty earlier this year. Ended up being out of work for most of three weeks total, I think, and we convicted the guy on 16 out of 17 counts. Most of the time it was pretty interesting though -- and I was able to put my "research" to use writing up Noelle's testimony for Reese's trial. So, you see, something good can come out of jury duty.
