The room was forty floors up. The elevator was the only way to get up there that wasn't likely to cause him to suffer cardiac arrest, that simply was too many flights of stairs to climb. But he hated the elevator. Or rather, the elevator operator and his awful jokes, "Hi there, need a lift?"
