What a difference...

Amazing what a difference having a two dozen and two staples taken out of ones tummy does to ones disposition. Feeling a lot better then I had been, was actually rather nasty last night when the staples were hurting a lot. The actual slice in my tummy has been pretty well sealed for a bit, its been the staples cutting into me when I turned from side to side that had been hurting. But, they are gone now, and I am just left with fifty-two tiny little pin-pricks of red that are covered with a dressing right now.

Sooo sooo do not miss having all that metal in me.

Just have to remember in eight years to get this quartet of vaccinations again. Apparently I need them now that my spleen is gone. I wonder if the dayplanner on my cel phone will let me schedule something that far in advance...

I can definately identify with both the uncomfortable feeling of metal and the ouchie that is the removal. I am glad your feeling better. Give it another couple weeks and you will be even better than you are now.

The big one now is just the cracked ribs are going to be bugging me for a while.

Restricted still on not lifting much for the next eight weeks so I don't tear internal stitches and give myself a hernia. But morning after now, definately feeling betting. Not tummy pain, just a bit of stiffness along the length of the scar.

Yeah. I busted ribs on the other side of my torso ( actually, from what I can tell, almost exactly on the otherside of my torso from where the current crack is ) years ago and I remember how long that was sore.
