Slow day, Serenity, Wedding
Was a pretty slow morning today. Slept in a bit which was a nice change. Actually managing to sleep all the way through the night again finally. Which probably has something to do with the painkillers no longer wearing off so suddenly and my waking up. Or rather, something to do with my body metabolizing the things a lot faster and their not really having much of a kick anymore. Anyways, was a slow morning.
Played a little CoH in the afternoon. Still kicking myself for that. Stuck my head out a little too far down a hallway and pulled aggro from some Vazh and ended up getting the party killed. So so soo kicking myself for that and likely will be for a while. Just very much not on the top of my game today and ugh. So so soo stupid of me. Worse part was I didn't even get to apologize to two of the party members in person since they were afk at the time and my computer crashed while zoning to the hospital.
Couldn't reboot and log back in either, needed to go off and see Serenity. Damn that was a good movie. Can't even think of how to describe it without spoiling it for people who haven't seen it yet. Damned damned good movie. Amazingly good. Soo going to have to see it again. Definitely several moments of "Holy frick! Did that really just happen?!?" Lots of really cool camera work, cool special effects, but as always the story and the acting really are what it was all about. Few things rang a little odd in my head while seeing it, but I think that is mostly me nit-picking having just watched the TV series on DVD again. Very very good movie whether you were a fan of the TV show or not, definitely worth seeing.
Have to say, car ride to and from theater was amazingly painful though. Seat belts ( mandatory in Oregon ) over a belly of staples and a bumpy road was not fun. By the time I got back home was soo in pain.
When I got home found a text message asking how soon I'd be home and got reminded that Scorpia and Hang Time's CoH wedding thingy was tonight. Was a lot of fun. Ceremony was short and very nicely done. Seventy-Six had a bit of Shakespeare he recited. Nice little speeches, pretty ceremony and very tasteful and very cool. Was glad I didn't miss it since they are both great friends and was a lot of fun to be there and watch it.
Didn't stay long after it was over. Needed to lay down, let painkillers work, and had sushi in the fridge that I had picked up for dinner on the way home. Back and stomach are still killing me now. But wanted to jot this out while I remembered.
All in all, pretty good day today. ( Except for that TPK.. Going to be kicking myself about that for a while.. )
