The scent of the roses filled the garden. The bees could be heard humming about among the flowers. Birds tweetered from their perches on trees surrounding the flowered expanse and from the small marble birdbath in the middle. The police forensic dogs were being led down the paths, searching for the fragrance of the three day old body they sought to find among the perfume of the flowers.
Had to edit the comment here, forgot a word when I wrote it on One Word. Alas, sixty seconds isn't enough time to spew a paragraph out and edit it.

Oddly enough, right now there are only two of us who have written on todays word for One Word, both of us wrote about flowers and corpses.
I think this is what happens when you try to be creative before your first bit of food in the day, bloody murder comes to mind...
