Plain white, the expanse gleaming. Pure and pristine, the snow fields stretched north until north itself ended. The stark empty expanse, seemingly barren but with life hidden away beneath the snow, burrowed down in tunnels and caves for warmth.

It was madness. There wasn't another word for it. The thought that they could go in there, easy as you please, get what they needed, and walk back out, without tripping the alarms, without getting shot, without doing any of the other millions of things that would get them dead... stark raving mad.
