Playing with colors
So I got most everything that the friend I was playing around with this for wanted worked out. A couple graphic tweaks left to do, but I saved a copy of the site template from that so I can swap around quick to test them for her all quick-like.
But that left me thinking about what to do with mine now that I have pretty well decided to keep it. Sticking with the same basic layout for the moment, but goofing with the colors some right now. Don't be surprised if it looks a little different everytime you see it for a while. Likely will keep changing it until I either find something I really like, or I hit upon something I can tolerate and am too bored to keep playing with it.

Kind of like the dark green on the left, but the right sidebar now is making me think of minty toothpaste stains..

Erk.. Sudden onset of laziness has me stuck with greens for the moment. Though I was also struck by the sheer mass of green on the page when I just visited it so.. Ugh.. Hmm..

I think this would be easier if I wasn't so picky about keeping the color palette to colors that I actually would wear or normally associate with. Which tends to mean a lot of black and grey, some whites and green and blue.

I know what you mean. I had to meet someone yesterday for the first time and describe my outfit as a way of recognizing me, and it was literally "brown pants, tan shirt, black jacket, balck shoes, brown bag, brown hair." I wore pink today in retaliation.

I think I can sum up pretty much my entire wardrobe for when I am out and about as: Black dockers, white ( or grey, or rarely black ) t-shirt, black ( or blue or pale green ) dress shirt ( unbuttoned ), grey jacket ( or black trenchcoat depending on weather ) with either my forest green backpack or my black messenger bag.
I tend to try to avoid all black because then I show up at meetings and with my current ( lack of ) haircut and get referred to as 'Angry Goth Jesus'.
