The flowers were exquisite. A beautiful bouquet of colors in a squared off glass vase. The box had come with instructions and flower-food, everything to keep them bright and vibrant for days. The delivery person had dropped them off with a smile.
And now back into the dull tedium of a day of meetings...

The UPS man nodded, and I signed for the package. There's just something about a special delivery -- could be contracts or some boring letter... or it could be an invitation to an all-expenses-paid vacation, or notice of an inheritance. You never know.

“What is?”
“You know, the one with “you have an awfully purty mouth…” and “Squeal like a pig for me!”. You know….Delivery”
“What? No…no. Deliverance…It was Deliverance you silly person you.”

“Yes I am sure, and you keep being that stupid, you too will have a Ned Beatty moment.”
