The gladiator faced off against his foe with just a short blade and a weighted net. The sword was sharp and light, fast in his hand and he trusted his skill to step in quickly and end a fight with it. The net he used to tangle limps and weapons, to trap a foe in place to hold them for that final coup de grace.
I hate it when I typo on these and run out of time to fix it. Grrr.

The ball dropped through the net with ease, and Billy turned back to his friends with a wide grin. "There," he said. "Just like that."
From across the schoolyard, he caught Melissa's eye. She yawned and his heart sunk.
Are we allowed to fix 'em in the comment-posting? Because "sunk" should be "sank." Grr.

The Goalie slid into position to block the shot. The blade of his stick slammed up against the post, and, and he made himself fill the space in the crease. The Wing brought the puck up un his stick and floated it off of the Goalies shoulder, and the lamp was lit as the puck settled into the back of the net.

I guess we could fix them when we post them here. I know on mine 'limps' should have been 'limbs'.
And yay! Hockey! I need to move somewhere with more then a WHL team.
