Thursday the 29th ( this upcoming Thursday ) I have to head back up to the hospital to talk to the plastic surgery people ( not sure why them, but they are who I was told to talk to ) about my hand and the broken bone in it. Right now it is splinted, I guess the meeting is to decide if it is going to remain splinted, get a more permanent cast put on it, or if it will need surgery to correct. Hoping just for splint, but no clue how it'll turn out.

I was going to go to the Stumptown comics thing on Saturday the 1st, but given gut pain remaining and general sluggishness means that it likely wouldn't be much fun at all.

Friday the 7th of October I go back and talk to the trauma team about getting these staples out. Shouldn't be any surprises there, just staple removal and a general look to make sure I healed well I guess.

Oh, spleen and what it does. Malcalypse ( City of Heroes friend, cool person, helps run the Storm Knights ( Local 23 )) pointed me at a website with a good explanation of what my spleen used to do for me.

Short form, it used to pick on the funny looking blood cells and made some disease fighting thingies for my immune system.
