Cancelled evening
I was supposed to be halfway though seeing Serenity right now. Originally had planned to catch a noon showing, but with staples in gut I didn't really want to head downtown mid-day by bus and catch one with some friends then. So had re-made plans to catch a 7:25 pm showing, except people cancelled on that at about 6pm so now the plan is to go and try to see it tomorrow.
Kind of disappointing, really really want to see it. Especially since I know all of you are likely seeing it today and are going to want to gush about it and I'll have to put my hands over my eyes so I don't read about it when I visit your blogs or chat at you in CoH. But such is life. C'est la vie. I am going to try now to catch a showing of it tomorrow.
Instead, spending my evening watching the TV series on DVD, and planning on doing a bit of drawing once I finish writing this.
Been a decent enough day otherwise. Cleaned up the stack of PS2 and X-Box games and anime DVD's that was slowly eating up the useable floor space in my living room. Did a bit of brain-storming on one of my way-too-many half-dead writing projects.
Stomachs actually been hurting a bit after I learned that an armful of DVD's was possibly a bit more weight then I was supposed to be carrying. Keep forgetting that I am supposed to be taking things easy. Not sure how I keep forgetting that, you'd think the splint or dressing on my tummy would be a noticeable enough reminder, but apparently they aren't.
Raining today, first time in a bit it seems. Probably hasn't been as long as it feels, but it is Oregon. It should have been raining a lot more then it has so far this year. Instead of rain being a daily occurrence it has been an unusual and note-worthy one.
I like the rain. The sound of it on windows and the roof. The smell of it in the air. The way it makes the world look so much cleaner afterwards.

Nobody's going to say anyhting to you about the movie until after you see it. We wouldn't do that. That's just mean.
In other news, I like the way uo make rain sound. It's finally fall here in NYC, and as much as I love summer, I love the change in seasons, and the way fall surrounds you like a heavy blanket it's finally cool enought owrap yourself up in while you sleep.

Yeppers...quiet as a tomb until you see it.
How was the Comic con?
Take it easy and do not over exert yourself.

No Serenity for me last night and no stumptown comic show today for me. Cancellations last night and staple-gut didn't make wandering around a crowded convention center sound fun for today.
But Serenity sometime today, just need to figure out exactly when today.

One of the things I miss living in a city instead of the country is the way the earth smells before the rain. You can smell the earth and know before there is even a cloud in the sky that it is coming within an hour.
The city you can't get the smell until 10 minutes after the rain has started to fall and it just doesn't smell as clean.
