Growing on me..
Okay, this is growing on me fast.
I actually miss my website more then I tend to admit. Largely because if I did admit it, I might have to do something about it and that leads to sleepless nights of poking at XHTML and trying to decide if this iteration of hythia.com will be entirely text again, or if maybe I'll allow an occasional image this time around and which standards I'll be compliant too and which I'll thumb my nose at and.. Yeah.. A hole with no bottom..
So I imagine I will end up using this more then I am admitting to myself right now that I will.
In the meantime, messing with the colors on this still for a friend. Looks like what she wanted done is all going to be do-able, and pretty easily too since most of it will just be new images in new colors.
Not sure what I'll do for mine after that.. Huh.. All text or maybe some images..

Work.. Work.. Oh yeah.. Thats the stuff I do that has me going to lots of meetings and shaking hands with people who leave me feeling like I need to shower after I hear them ramble through all thier business speak..

Or at least wash your hands. Though, you might want to feel grateful you're not in an industry (like, say, mine) where everybody greets each other with multiple kisses on the cheeks. Still, there are *some* benefits.

Ok...
So being in engneering...and a great big intovert...so glad that there is no cheek kissing...'cuase that would seriously freak me out.
Nothing like a big ol' Dilbert coming up to you and giving you a big wet one on the cheek to mess you up for the rest of the day.
So...what are these benefits of which you speak?

I am technically a software engineer, but since I am the only programmer / engineer / developer on most projects I do it means I spend a lot of time around graphic designers and advertising and marketing people.
Some are rather nice people, some are completely clueless, and some I wonder if the worlds energy problems could be solved if only there was a way to harness the hot air that they expel when talking and convert it into electricity.
Maybe require them to wear a battery pack on their backs and a giant windmill held up before their faces that will be turned by the sheer force of the biz-speak they spray when talking...

I was going to go with the benefit of "some of them are hot British men with too-die-for accents" but you go with what works for you.

I need a job with 'hot British women with too-die-for accents' I think...
Even though I am comfortably single right now, that still would make for more interesting meetings.

Yeah, the accents definately help make the meetings go better. British, Italian, French... not so much the Germans, because really, who except Eva Braun is turned on by a German accent?

Hot european women with accents-too-die-for.
Would be so there for cheek kissing. Would be completely useless for the meeting...but it would be worth it.
As to German women...would depend a lot on the general hot-a-tude to accent ratio I would guess.

German / Austrian accents make me think of Soylent Green. But that is because the first time I saw the movie it was dubbed into Austrian with subtitles.
But a nice British or French accent is all good. Not sure about what a real Italian one would sound like, but any of the Latinate / Romance languages would probably keep my attention.
